“Goodbye,” said the fox. “And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye (…). Men have forgotten this truth,” said the fox. “But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose (…)”. The little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
My name is Naima Rim Bautista, I am a French freelance translator. I translate from English, Spanish and Italian into French.
I studied translation at la Sorbonne Nouvelle as well as human resources. I studied German for many years, so I have a fairly advanced level. German is a language full of attraction for me.
Languages are one of my passions, languages and everything that goes with it… countries, people, cultures… I am passionate about travel. To my mind, as literature and translation, travels are a wealth that nourishes the soul and the spirit if we know how to get out the treasure they offer. As René de Chateaubriand said: “A traveler is a kind of historian; his duty is to faithfully tell what he saw or what he heard; he must invent nothing, but he also must omit nothing.”
In this blog, I will try to share with you what I have learned during my travels (and the time I lived in Mexico), but also through literature and translation as well as some anecdotes that could be linked to them …
I hope you will enjoy reading this blog
Sincerely yours,
Anima
